fishing reel repair forums

I just wanted to thank you Alan for your great reel repair forums, I have rebuilt two reels using your forum, I am a retired Architect and Live in Los Cabos around 6 months a year, I have a condo there and friend has a 25' Parker we fish on. I have been buying level wind reels for friends that visit us and only fish occasionally. I also use Cal Sheets drag grease on all the drag washers, Cal is friend and neighbor of mine in Los Cabos, thank you again,

you're welcomed, ralph!  you know, the first time i met cal, i asked him about a reel that i was having problems with.  he said, "oh, the spool shaft is probably bent....".  of course, he was right, and i felt like i had been struck with a bolt of lightening.  alan
