Abu Garcia 6500 c3 drag upgrade

New to forum.  I have 5 older Abu 6500 C3s in good working condition and would like to upgrade to carbon drag.  Please advise on cost effective upgrade on adding the carbon washer(s)? not sure how many or all the washers.  I found a kit on another site that has complete kit for $20.00 all washers.  I think the current washers are probably good and only need the carbon washers.  Not sure if this is option.  Seems to me less expense to obtain and use the carbon.  Thank you in advance.

I have recently upgraded the drags in my c3 6500 with the carbonex drags from Dawn and used the old metal washers. No problems and now the drag is sikly smooth, just need to get out and use the reel now.

Dawn's 5500CA drag washer kit works in most C3 and C4 ABU reels.  If you have the early reel with an anti reverse dog let Dawn know, she has under washers of the proper diameter to clear the dog.
