Hello All!
Recently my Penn International 975 levelwind started acting up and I can't seem to resolve the problem. When I hit the clutch release button to release line it doesn't pop back out when I start reeling. All you hear is a clicking, I'll jiggle the handle a little and eventually it will 'catch' and the clutch will engage to get the line back in. I'm at a loss, I took the reel apart and see no rust, stripped gears, etc. I didn't take the handle, but I did take off the right inside plastic plate and saw no damage and everything is where it's supposed to be per the schematic for the reel.
Any infomation that can be provided will be appreciated.
Thanks!

check the schematic.  https://www.mysticparts.com/Assets/images/pennparts/schematics/975.pdf

first guess is damage to the shift arm (key #68) or damage to the trip ratchet (key #98) or both.

I'll check them both out, look pretty easy to replace too!  ;)
