hello all! I recently bought a penn int. 30tw and seems to work ok but not perfect  when drag lever is in any position it works like it is supposed to except in free mode  and when put in free mode the spool kinda makes a clunk and jumps to the left about 1/16th of an inch or less and completly locks up then with a little patience and messin with the spool and pushing the drag lever just past free it starts working again like nothing ever happend well if anybody can help it would be greatly appreciated and tight lines to all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

G'day and welcome John,
Sounds like the spool is sitting to close to the right side plate/clicker plate when in free spool.
It could be that the preload isn't sufficiently tight; it's binding on some part of the clicker assembly; or there's a spacer/belleville issue.
Try tightening the preload a little more (while in free spool) and see if that helps.
If not, pull the right side plate and check the clicker assembly isn't damaged/seized etc.
To check the bellevilles, pull the spool and have a look at the right side of the spindle.
Check the bellevilles (ie #18) are all there and configured ()().

Let us know how you get on.
Good luck, Justin
