Hi Alan and all,
The 115L in question looks like it was made during the short "transition period", after the decision had been made to switch production of this model offshore.
Toward the end as parts supplies dwindled, some sideplates were indeed run in China. [hence no USA markings].   

Thank you for the "inside scoop".  That is essentially what I had been thinking.

It's unusual how the Penn Senator 9/0 emblem is oval.

Bryan, do the insides of the sideplates have that little circle of numbers and arrow molded into them, the one indicating the year of manufacture?  If so, what is the date?

I have a Jigmaster with sideplates made in July 2005 (I think before manufacture was moved to China) and no "Made In USA" on them.  Yet, it had a "made in China" sticker on the reelfoot.  I think it may have been assembled during that transition period, too.

Then, again, this might not mean anything.
