fished saturday,no wind,2m swell,no white caps,magic day.plenty fish.
5 mile offshore the motor alarm went off.
wasnt oil or water, still dont know.
decided not to go wide,so only went 30 k's.
5ft bronze whaler,3 samson fish,black arse
queen snapper,pink snapper nannygai
and 2 dhu fish.
they grow max; 1.22 m ours went 1.1m biggest ive been involved with
nick (the ink)who likes to look in the eyes of squid, hooked him on a
metal 130gm jig.i just serviced his new daiwa seascape 20 star drag
loaded with 40lb braid and it performed perfectly.
he kept putting his thumb on the spool instead of letting the drag
do its job.old habits!"dont want it to brick me".
after much abuse from me and 20 min; later it surfaced
popped up like a collins submarine.it was 12 noon.
after high 5's all round and pics  we couldnt bring ourselves
to fish on.we had a good feed and we were fished out.
doesnt happen often,like 20lb bonefish,or 25lb snapper,1000lb marlin
it was a great day!

They all look pretty tasty.
:D I talk with every part I send out and each reel I repair so that they perform at the top of their game. :D

Nice fish Wallace, I'm glad you had a great day.
Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.

Hey Wallace,
I saw this pic and thought of your mate 'Nick the ink' ;) ;D
Don't know who it is, but the caption was: "Bloke fishing for Humboldt squid on a San Diego charter boat forgets you must never look them in the eyes!"
PS Looks like a Calstar and 113H - nice...

Wallace:  after you upload your photos to a photo hosting site like photobucket copy the Image code and paste it in the body of your post.  I am going to post an image code but I am purposely going to corrupt it so the picture won't show but you'll be able to see an example.  Dominick

Sorry Dominick, I cannot seem to get it to work.
Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.

I have all of the answers, yup, no, maybe.
