Polishing metal drag washers?

Hey fellas is there any noticeable difference between leaving the factory finish and polishing to mirror on the metal drag washers?

By difference, I mean smoother, possibly even more pressure?

Or the potential gain miniscule?

I noticed on the tutorial for the Tiagra for instance the metal washer is mirrored.
