Planked Bluefish

[Fishead]

Maybe u like bluefish,maybe u dont.Recipie as follows:
Take 2 fillets-skin off is best so it wont stick to the plank.
Rub with olive oil & place on plank.
Sprinkle on garlic salt & pepper.
Cover fish with sliced tomato,sliced onion,sliced peppers & mushrooms.
Cook uncovered on med heat for 30 min.
Remove from grill,throw fish away & eat the plank.

Bluefish gets a bad rap! Bleed it as soon as it comes aboard, then put it immediately on ice. Filet. Before broiling, soak it in milk a couple hours. Rinse off and baste with butter, garlic and lemon.  Like many fish, blues don't freeze well. But they are great if handled properly and prepared fresh. Really.

I'm with Akfish, if you know how to prepare bluefish it is delicious. You need to get rid of the dark meat.
