TLD 15 Broken heat shield

Friend gave me this tld15 a few years ago.  I have recieved a handle/drag washer upgrade from Alan.
upon opening her up I find this



The rael seems to fuction fine.  Just wondering the gurus thought on replacing or not?

someone might have tried to "wrench" it off using channel locks and grabbing the lip right there.  unless the entire top is cracked, leave it be.  i looks bad, but it should be ok.

It will not affect the operation of the reel.  I'd just leave it.
