I serviced my 545 and after putting the left side plate and everything together and turning the handle and it seemed like it was binding? It was hard to turn the handle and there was no freespool/ the lever wouldnt click in

I see no one has offered a suggestion and I don't know the first thing about these reels.  Have you found anything since yesterday?

Sorry Grayson - missed this one too.
Is there any chance that the jack and yoke were misaligned or put back in reverse order?
Or that the jack jumped off the eccentric during reassembly?
If the yoke's not sitting right, the pinion may also be misaligned and binding against the main gear.
Let us know how you get on.
Good luck, Justin

You have a lot of parts on that clutch assembly, maybe a part went out of place :-\.
It's a good idea to open it up again and double check.
You probably already have the schematics, this is just in case you need it:

Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.

It turns out the very end of the spool shaft is bent where it sits in a bushing. Looks like it time for a new spool :-[
