Talking to a guy in my local tackle shop recently and he told me that if your IAR bearing slips, it`s shot and needs replacing.
I have pushed my "Torium that clicks" with a shark on, on occasion and felt the IAR slip, but have found that the next time I used the reel, it was OK again.
So, I know this is not good for it, but it seems to recover.
Anyone have the same experience?

not at all. if it slips once, it will always be suspect.  it's like a girlfriend that cheats on you once.......   :-\
send me an email at alantani@yahoo.com for questions!

If you have grease in the IAR often times it will slip a little, clean it out and lube with a light oil and check it again.
I'm not talkin' 'bout pleasure boatin' or day sailin'. I'm talkin' 'bout workin' for a livin'. I'm talkin' 'bout sharkin'!
