cals drag grease

just wondering after purchasing 3 shimano lever drag reels.a tld25/tld15/2000 ld charter. could cals grease be applied to the drag discs in the shimanos so as to get some use out of them before i upgrade the drags.just seems a waste not to use them.
common sense not very common.

They are interchangeable but I do not like mixing oils or grease, clean the Shamano grease off with solvent first.

the original canvas drag washers have to stay dry.  grease will make them stick.
