Looks like fun/ crazy... Would love to see Sal and Dominick out there... just make sure they come back, we need them here ;D
Dominick, make sure you wear the hawaii five-O shirt so you'll be camouflaged when you jump in with your knife in your teeth ;)
Ps- I thought of you while on my vacation in Jamaica.  Once when I saw about 20 Japanese tourists with all Hawaii five-O shirts on and the other times was every morning when I went to the buffet and there was smoked marlin.  Do people really eat that for breakfast?  I didn't think it was gonna be an off white color? I couldn't entertain it when it was sitting next to a vat of cinnamon french toast everyday.
Stay safe out there,
Dom

Alto Mare

Dom, if Dominick wears the hawaii  five-O shirt, we might have a chance. ;D
I know one guy that would probably take a chance, Lee. That old man is tough.
Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.

That's a lot of good eating there.

Now all you need is to get sal to send you the tank. Piece of chicken, circle hook maybe 80# test. Get him in close enough then BAMM. That would be a real test for the tank. Don't you think?

BMitcth, I would love too if baited hooks were legal in Fla. You can bait a wooden peg no more than 2 inches long. It has to be attended and attached to the boat or on a rod. It is legal to snatch one though. We got on a swamp lizard that dwarfed the one I took. Thats another story.  Bob

The one that got away. We all have those. Seems most of mine are the one that got away though.

That's crazy.  Probably the only time I'd do that is if my life depends on it, and it's a matter of him or me.  How does it taste?  Like chicken? ;D

I watch the TV show Swamp People every once and a while, and must say, those guys are tough!
:D I talk with every part I send out and each reel I repair so that they perform at the top of their game. :D

Bryan:  Don't you know that chicken tastes like alligator?  :D The reason the Swamp People are so tough is you have give low slow cooking and baste often.  ;D Dominick
Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.

saltydog

No has a flavor all it's own and is really good.

I tried some gator 2 years ago at a restaurant in NYC called Gators (it's gone now) at the South Street Seaport and man that stuff is rough :o
The first bite taste like chicken-ish, next like fish, next and last bite taste like rotten fish.  Needless to say it was my first, and only time I will be eating gator unless a dire situation arises and I mean DIRE!
Give it a try but not in NYC go to Weezy-Anna (LA) for it,
Dom

Bob,
Great pics !!  I missed this when this was first posted.   Looks like a lot of fun, very scary, and a big challenge to land a big gator.
I think I would be willing to give it a try sometime.  But I would probably be the guy in the back, way back.

Looks very cool. See many snakes out there??

Not a one. We did see some hogs though. I think the hogs have put a dent in the population. I know some are still around though. John, If you are serious, I'll let you know if I get tags.  Bob
