i pulled the andros apart after 2 years of use
no corrosion,water anywhere.
1 of the open  bearings felt a slight grit feel to it.
tsi 301 drop on it, regreased the drag, put it back together
and got 90secs freespool.
how ever i came across this flat washer on the shaft
between the 2 bearings,it measures
id 6 od 12 thickness 0.5 and i cant figure out why its there.reelspeed, and alans tutorials
dont show it or schematics.i thought it must go with the spring washers but there is no room.
in the photo its next to the spool.i know aaron was experimenting with this reel.
help appreciated.cheers

would this be the correct sequence
spool bearing-spring-washer- bearing-drag plate
thanks al.

not sure.  if the washer is used the shim the right spool bearing, then it would go underneath the bearing - spool, washer, bearing, spring, bearing, pressure plate.

thanks al
i ran a series of tests moving the washer around.
it made no difference if a washer was used or left out
the worst result was the one you hinted at 30secs.all the others were 60 secs +and- a couple of secs
the washer is the same size as the bearings(od) so it would rub
on inner and outer rims of the bearing
i also put a copper shim on top  of the washer, inner rim only,(1min;)
i couldnt find any benefit  cheers

wild guess  pt #0920423, washer for key #s 304 and 305.... ???  think my guess is wrong cuz  from the pic the it looks too big for a click pawl washer... :o
