How can you determine whether the main gear is made of steel or stainless steel?   I am inquiring about the Penn stock gears that were made by Penn (2.8 to 1 gear ratio) and not the aftermarket gears.

Can someone post a photo of a 114H steel and stainless steel main gears for comparison?
