torium 50 cant go into freespool help!

Just yesterday i was about to cast and i noticed that now it takes alot of effort to flip to freespool and when i do flip it to freespool it still doesnt go into free spool. please help me solve this problem ive had this reel for only 2 months!

salt water intrusion.  the entire side plate will have to come apart.  don't force it.  you can damage the lever.  while you're at it, get a set of carbontex drags from smoothdrag.com and replace your drag washer if you have an old reel.  new reels will already have carbon fiber.

X2 on Alan's comment also I would check the R/H spool bearing for salt build up while your at it.
