Torium 30 slips..

I just had this reel sent back to me...

He said it just stopped winding..no matter how tight he had the drag.

Pulled it down and found the spool slipping on the shaft.

Took out the shaft pin and bearing...and was able to easily tap the shaft out of the spool. There are very small machined splines in the end of the shaft....but they had spun, and the shaft no longer turned with the spool.

Anyone else experience this??

A new spool is in order...
