Hi Alan,  I just purchased one of these reels online and noticed that they are advertising an updated '09 drag system.  I am yet to receive the reel but they are claiming 15kg drag, 15lbs would do me as I intend to uses the reel from a kayak.

I was wondering if you have seen the mods and your opinion of the reel as it stands now?

they installed a larger right main side plate bearing to carrry a heavier load.  otherwise, you can figure that the reel is roughly the equivalent of an avet sx, but at a lower price.

Thanks Alan,  at $110au ($100us) makes it very good value for money.
