How do you get the shield off a bearing?

Specifically the spool bearing of a 113hn.  I cannot figure out how to remove it.  Thanks!

Jason, If it is removable there will be a fine wire ring around the outer rim of the bearing. The wire is split and a sharp fish hook can be used to catch the end and pop it out. Be carefull they can go zinging off and are hard to find.
     Some bearings have pressed in shields. If you remove them they cannot be replaced. A bearing packer can grease either type without removing the shields.  Most people here remove the spool bearing shields and clean and lube the bearings for best free spool. If the reel is used for trolling and free spool is not important a greased bearing will last longer. Bob

Thanks for that.  I got them off.  I am leaving them off because I want to lube that bearing with corrosion x as this reel is going on a deck hand rod and will be casted.

It is not my night with bearings.  I got this problem resolved and now have a missing right plate bearing.  I swear a gremlin came in my room and took it.  I have searched for an hour.  Frustrating!
