avet sx 5.3 mc knocking noise

after swapping parts from my other avet i found the problem to be either or a combination of the pinion gear and anti reverse gear.

I'm a bit confused.  Does it only occur with the spool and pinion gear installed?
:D I talk with every part I send out and each reel I repair so that they perform at the top of their game. :D

yes only then, its fine without them installed. i swapped the pinion and drag plate over from my woking reel and it worked fine.

What puzzes me is that it occurs ever 5 or so cranks.  Just maybe at that time, the two worst damaged area of both gears contact each other.

What happened to the (quote:) "plate sits very loose on the gear if i look at it wrong it will fall off", was this not a part of the problem after all? Did you manage to identify and resolve what caused the sounds and vibrations in your SX?

yes that was the problem, im waiting on the parts to come from avet.
