Getting CorrosionX in Australia

Just thought I'd let the other Aussies on Alan's forum know that I've managed to get CorrosionX in Australia... from Pacific Corrosion Products in the USA

Nancy from Pacific Corrosion was incredibly helpful and very friendly. Shipping was fast (about 10 days) and inexpensive.

USD$34.92 landed at my doorstep including priority postage for 1 x 16oz CorrosionX trigger spray and 2 x 1oz bottles of ReelX (and I'll keep the bottles for the CorrosionX... they've got a great applicator nozzle).

And a couple of samples of RejeX were thrown in F.O.C. ... looks like a nifty product that I'm going to try on the bottom of my boat and on my car windscreen.

Hi BigT,

Compared to cheap and locally available INOX-MX3, is there much difference?

Locally based Candan Industries, Brisbane, Queensland is the maker of the Inox range of products.
They are going so well that they are now starting to manufacture and sell it in the USA too.

Amazingly good value product, especially as I have now purchased a 5 litre container from Trade Tools Direct in Qld for only $50. That's cheap.
After years of buying it in the small Aerosol Cans!

In the last year, I have also started using INOX - MX3 on bearings (levelwind and spool).
Just one drop applied with a syringe. So far, so good.

Maybe this could be a thread on its own.

btw I am not affiliated in anyway with INOX. If only.

I'm sure if they send Alan samples, he will put it through its paces for use on reels.

I use Innox for a lot of applications... As far as I know though it doesn't use the same molecular bonding chemistry as CorrosionX so I doubt that it would provide the same degree of protection and longevity. I haven't used it in bearings and probably wouldn't without someone providing objective test information. Given that I've got that info on another product I'll stick with it.

That said, Innox is a great product and I'd love to hear any more results you have from using it. All my reels get a mist with it after they've been rinsed, not to mention its uses on my boat.

I also use their Lanox (lanolin) Grease for protecting cork on rod grips.

Inox has good lubricating properties compared to other sprays such as WD40. If you have an outboard motor with mechanical steering it's a good idea to spray Inox on the steering rod in work it inside the tube by turning the motor to full lock and repeating the process several times. This will go a long way in preventing your steering from siezing up.

I too use lots of Inox rather than WD-40. Great product. Yet to try it inside the reels.

I just bought a bulk shipment of the 16oz CorrosionX bottles and 1oz Reelx bottles, mainly for some local fishing reel guys, I'll probably sell the excess on eBay (au) probably, but if you want a forum discount just send me a message and I'll work out a price.
