The click tongue/click button assembly is very sloppy....to the point of not staying engaged. I need to get it apart to see what the root cause is. A couple of questions:

1) What creates the detent that positions the clicker in either the engaged or disengaged position? Is it a figure 8 shaped opening in the LS plate? If that's the case, this one may be worn open and prevent the clicker from stayng put....that means a new side plate will be needed.

2) How do I diassemble the clicker and button? There's no snap ring or screw. Are they pressed together? Do I need to drill them out? Of course, that leads to the next logical question: Assembling the new ones?

Thanks

you need to take a pair of channel locks and bend the spring in.  then work the clicker button back and forth to make sure it works.  lots of trial and error.  alan

if that fails  or if the clicker is too corroded  find another 100 or a 150's or 200's at garge sales tackle swap meets and swap out the parts
also lateley I have seen a lot of 200's and 150's for sale  on flea bay
