really slow fishing today. we got 3/4 limits of rockfish for 3 guys, plus one 20 inch cabezon boxed and two underlings released. we ran all the way past the lighthouse to a spot midway between the lighthouse and ano nuevo. that's the farthest south i've ever been after launching from hmb. i had my father on board, thinking end of the season, gotta put him on some fish. hey, no pressure, right? this coming friday will be another kid's fishing day. we may try fishing sunday as well.

just a note. i made up a bunch of bait rigs using number 1 circle hooks. i tied two dropper loops in a 3 foot leader and put a red bead, the small circle hook and a dime sized piece of squid on each hook. this was our hot performer for the day. i'm gonna use this rig for the kids on friday.
