Here is my 14/0 on a stubby 120 lb roller rod. Clamp compliments of My main man Sal! Freshly greased up and a 7 stack Ht-100 from scotts.
I am going to catch some monsters on this setup. The 14 is spooled with 130 lb mono. The 114h is spooled with 80 lb braid.

Sweet!! Couple questions for my education:
> much line did it take to fill each reel
> did you use a filler or backing before the final fill (i.e. dacron on the bottom and 130 on top)
> would you fill them the same way next time

Thanks brother
It may not be very productive,
but it's sure going to be interesting!

Very nice, both of them!  BTW just how stubby is your stubby roller rod?

5'6" wide mouth rollers. Look like winthrops to me. 750 yards of 130 mono, nothing else. No backing.
As far as the 6/0, it has no backing either, I'm guessing about 1000 yards.

My back hurts just looking at that reel. I know it would hurt if I caught the monster you will catch on it.

Nice Harness and Belt will make a world of difference.
