Nice find Mike.
Lee, did you take details? You need to make some.
Now I need to have one...not that it makes sense to me, but still need to have one ;D.
Sal
Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.

Irish Jigger

I think I have a couple somewhere ,they are yours if you want them Sal. Don't know if I have a drilled cross bar though.

Keta

Can I borrow one to see if I can make them?
Hi, my name is Lee and I have a fishing gear problem.

I have all of the answers, yup, no, maybe.

Sal,
Maybe you need one of these, too. I'll build you one for $100. ;D   No, not the garage, the line winder. ::)

Irish Jigger,

Thank you for the explanation as to what it is, nice little item to find.

Mike.

Alto Mare

Way to go Rob, great idea on the tension spring on that spool. ;)

Now that's unusual Lee.  Thanks for the explaination Irish.  I still don't understand though.
:D I talk with every part I send out and each reel I repair so that they perform at the top of their game. :D

The spring only puts minimal tension on the spool. If I want line on tight, as in spectra, I use a nylon washer sandwiched between a fender washer and no spring on each side of the line spool. (Dominick's idea I think. ;)) Both the spring and washer methods need a locknut to keep the single nut from loosening or tightening.

The second set of hose clamps is for a second reel to transfer line from one reel to another.

Rob, I was talking about the line guide. X

Yes I know. I was referring to Sal's comment on my line winder.  8)

See, no wonder I'm confused?  There's too many tangents and my mind cannot follow them.

This is really cool. Both the cast control and the line winder. Rob do you fit the reel handle up with a power drill to wind the line on?
luck is the residue of design.

Nope. Just an armstrong rotor system. ;D  It gives me more control.
