8500 or 9500

witch has the better drag system ? the one large + 1 small washer on the 9500ss or the multi drag system
on the 8500ss. I would think the 8500ss would generate more drag pressure IMHO.with both upgraded to CF drags.
what do you think ? Ok guys this is open for a debate. the 8500ss spool fits right on the 9500ss it just holds less line.

I find the large drag plate on the 9500 is more effective at dissipating heat on long runs/large fish etc.
It also 'seems' smoother under heavy loads, but this is anecdotal.
In my view, the 9500SS is the superior reel, but... it probably also depends on what you're targeting.
I'm also probably a bit biased towards the 9500 as it's just such a great reel
