Monofil 26

Picked up this Monofil 26 as a project to restore for my collection, yes it is a mess but I just liked the colour. All the chrome parts needed replacing including the click button which I had never done before (hoping I wouldn't crack the plate whilst peening) but it worked out okay! Also I wanted to remove the green knob to install on a new handle (first time again)

The salvageable parts cleaned. The click button still needs replacing, and the knob removing from the handle arm, which is in the freezer as I have been told that if you freeze it for 24hrs it helps with removal!

I like those old green 26's too.  Please post the results of removing the green knob.

Hi John,

Made a bit of a mess of that first post there should have been more. It is my first time using photobucket. Just tried uploading the rest something went wrong, so I will try again!!
