I have a question I'm looking to replace the 98-60 gear sleeve on my 309 m. I know that at Mysticparts it says to replace with 98-60 AT. But could I replace it with a 98-505AT accompanied by a 10-505 star drag wheel, so I could have the fine thread

I don't see why not.
Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.

 I tried putting the gear sleeve earlier and it went in perfectly I just didn't put it all together because I wanted to be sure it wouldn't affect anything. thanks for the help
