Did this one a while back,  Today I dusted it off to take striper fishing.
It's a senator 111 I copied from Alan's tutorial on Scotts website. It has the 113 5 stack Drag, stainless sleeve,
nos 113 steel main gears, new sideplate, 112h handle,185 seaboy aluminum spool,posts,& bushings a 49 star & 49 clamp.
The reel was alot fun to build & may have started an addiction. The rings, stand & right sideplate are the only original parts to this reel.
The rest was built with new parts. Casts great. Nice inshore rig for Bass & bluefish. Tight Lines,Richie

That is cool!
I have one that is getting the same treatment only I'll use a Tani handle and grip and I'm hoping Lee will make Hex inserts.

Fantastic!
The more I use the drags the more I am convinced they are the best way to go.
