I made this into an open top by machining the top bar off
This reel is a lever drag 2spd. 3.8:1-1.5:1_ 330yds of 30lb mono-500yds of 60lb braid.
35lbs of drag, billet alum frame. ss bearing and gears.carbon drag
a lot of reel for it's small size.

Looks like really clean work.

On a side note, I'm seeing a bunch of these new reels with huge drag and small spools. I just don't see the advantage of 35 pounds of drag on a reel that only holds 60 pound line. It seems that 20 pounds is more than adequate and we have those all over.

you can always use 80 or 100lb braid. it will still have plenty of line on the spool
I plan on putting 80lb braid on mine. that will handle most anything i fish for on this coast.
this reel is close to the same size as a 113H but offers more usefulness

I didn't realize it was that big. I still like Senators and anything with a star drag, but it sounds like your happy.
