I am currently doing annual PM on my penn internationals.  The 130's and a couple of the 80's dont make much noise with the clicker on, and the 50's the clicker will jump to "off" on a violent strike. Was wondering if anyone had ideas on clicker therapy, Kamu?

Especially considering you have a clicker that can be knocked out by a fast strike, my first thought would be that the clicker spring was memory-compressed and not providing the proper tension to the clicker mechanism.

Thanks for the comebacks!

The clicker plates on the 80's and 130's seem to suffer less wear than the 50's, as they see many less rpf's (revolutions per fish).

I will try new springs, and less grease first, cheapskate that I am.  I hate to use less grease anywhere, it is the elixir of life in a trolling reel.

Kamu, will contact you through BD.
