Hi Broscho,

Shimano seems to be more popular over this side of the world in conventional & spinning reels. I remember my dad having Mitchell spinning reels when I was a kid. In fact I never used or owned an overhead reel until I was in my 20's.

+1 We definitely need to see the finished reel. I love my Penn ss series reels. If we can help let us know.

Hi Bob,

The only part I can't find is the 7500SS decal...

There's probably at least a six deep pile of them at the bottom of the ocean. Suggest people look out for decal shaped mounds on their fishfinders..... :)

Thanks, no parts in the letter box from Mysticparts when I got home though. My 850SS hasn't turned up either. Looking forward to rebuilding that 8500ss too...

Let me know if you need that part for the 850 ss.

MFB

Hi

Will do, emailed the seller & he is going to follow it up with NZ post tomorrow. I was in Eades Sports in Wanganui last week. They are having a closing down sale & I picked up a cross slide gear labelled 9500SS & also a new old drag knob which is a bigger diameter than the 8500SS so I presume its for a 9500SS. Let me know if they're of any use to you & I will send them down.

Cheers, I'll open mine up and see what state it's in. Where's the nearest place to you to chase kingies?
