In the 9 and 209 size. The shakespere tidewater is a serious competitor, a lot of SS parts. Main disadvantages are plastic spool(still a tough spool though) and a little more complicated, still relatively simple though. If there is CF drags that will fit that would be a big help to. They are great reels for the money though

I have a Tidewater on my sabiki pole that is at least 18 yrs old and never a problem with it.

Yeah I have caught a lot of fish on my 15 I loved it till I broke it.....dropped it pretty hard on concrete. Made it into parts for my 30 that I use for an anchor reel on the pier

I have the tidewater that has two bearings and aluminum spool!

I need a few of them for bait fishing, I like the plastic spool for casting spins like a dream

Tidewaters are alright, but some parts are no longer available, like the spool engage / disengage lever.

Mine broke, I will end up finding a replacement for the levers one day
