The Daiwa Boat Braid is great line, I have it on a bunch of reels. The only thing to watch is it breaks right around it rating. It's a very smooth line. I also like the Sufix Performance Metered Braid. It's a hair coarser than the silky Daiwa. I love JB, just haven't tried the Decade. BTW, tools aren't needed to splice hollow core line, or to splice a loop in it. A piece of single strand steel leader wire, bent double, is all you need. Inserting mono is another story but can be done without the needles
