The Pacific Ocean is the front, back, and sides.  It's all around me and closing in, but we have a not-so-secret weapon (the now-active-for-almost-30-years volcanic eruption that continues to make new land).
I used to be in a constant state of improvement.  Now I'm in a constant state of renovation.

The Baltic Sea (ice: january-april)

Pacific Ocean from San Francisco down to and including Mexico. The picture above this post in the Baltic Sea is not for me. Yellowtail & sunshine ;D.

The Great Souther Ocean
deep dark and just plain dangerous
Great White home base
A bad days fishing is better than a good day in the office

I grew up in So Cal and have a home in Washington and these days you are apt to find me fishing at Maipalaoa Beach park. I get a little jittery when I'm to far from Pacific water.

Montauk, NY.  For two short, sweet months every year this really is my backyard.  The rest of the time it would be the East River, which is slightly less 'fishy'.

Well then, if we are talking part time. I'll be on the White sands of the Gulf!

SacFly, looks like the south side under the light. Great pic. Spent some time there. A lotta time at shinnecock camping with the trailer on the sand. Haven't been out that way in a couple of years now. It NEVER leaves you though!

Montauk is an amazing place. I've only been there twice. I fished the race at Block Island on the Viking starship, and went shark fishing with Al Ristori. I've never seen any of the town or surfed or surf fished there.

The Mid Nth Coast of NSW is my backyard.

It is officially The Tasman Sea but basically The South Pacific.

F.Doc. Montauk is amazing. IMO the Mecca of striped bass. Funny place though. The point is like the geographic dividing line between rocky shores(like Maine) to the north and sand beaches to the south. You gotta be hard core to get out on those rocks under the light house. Or outta your mind. Maybe a little of both helps. Anyway Ive been fishing on and off there for the better part of 30 yrs. it's all different now. Lots of money out that way.
