Well due to finances ( baby due in may ;D ).my penn 112h upgrade will be a little short.so I will be cutting a few corners where I can. Im going to keep the stock post instead of putting an accuframe on it. But still wanna upgrade the stainless gear sleeve and pinion. Goin to keep the stock handle but upgrade the knob.

Ok here's the questions. ..the clicker button  and tongue are gone.is there a two piece button and tongue that doesn't have to be pressed together? Also whats the process of removing the old knob and installing the upgraded knob?

Even with the factory stand, your reel can still fish hard. At least 15-20 pounds, and that is plenty for that sized spool. The stainless sleeve and dog with either Bryan's 5+1 or Lee's insert for a drag upgrade will make a really nice reel. Alan has a few handles that he only asks a few bucks for and I can't tell you how much nicer it makes the reel. That set up fishes 45 pound line easy and could do heavier in a pinch. Most important is to get it put together and FISH IT!!

I'm not sure about how to replace the clicker, but replacing the knob is easy.  Alan explains the procedure in his excellent Penn 209 tutorial.  I think he drills out the old knob with a 3/16 drill.

I've got 35-60 and 26-209 if you want it.  You will need to figure out hot to rivet the clicker tongue though.  I'm sure someone here can give you direction.  If you want it, PM me your address and I'll send it out to you...Parts are compliments of JoelB

You have to peen it on there. The click button goes through the tongue on the inside. Then you hammer the end of the pin to flatten it out a little. The c-clip method is much easier, but hey, Bryan's supplying the parts, I think I'd give it a shot. Just put a couple rags on the backside of the plate and take an appropriate sized punch and smack the end of that pin a couple times just enough to round the end out a little bit.
