Which reel is a better purchase? I want a fast lever drag reel for live bait and dead bait trolling for sailfish. I want to spend 350 max. Should i go for the avet lx 6.0  with south florida cams or the accurate fury 600x 6.0??

I don't have any experience with either of these reels, but I would recommend reading the reel tutorials for each model on this forum, as well as those associated with them (I.e commonly encountered issues w/each).  Having said that...based on what I can glean from the available information I would likely lean towards the Avet with the caveate that I would service it immediately, and regularily and if I was planning on heavy use would consider upgrading the bearings ESP. the pinion.  The drag would also get converted to 'wet' w/Cal's..ESP important since it is an 'open' style drag.  The Avet seems to have a good anti-reverse system, a large drag disc, and the drive shaft bearings (though still a weak point) seem better then the shortened plastic bushing in the Accurate.   I think the Avet has good freespool outta the box and may be available with an antireverse bearing upgrade if desired (I think?).  Not sure I like all the areas of possible water intrusion when exposed to direct forceful spray, and the bearings may have a shorter life.  So I would convert to wet drag, upgrade the bearings (maybe consider a angular contact pinion& modified Belleville config, though at that cost might be better off with a duel drag/raptor model?), and make sure to service the reel regularily.

The accurate has a sealed drag that comes 'wet', though drag surface area is slightly smaller, the drag plate itself appears to be a bit 'beefier', the double dog system is simple and effective, and there are no drive shaft bearings to fail...though the bushing seems to leave something to be desired here (too short, soft...upgrade may be possible?), I like the look of the clicker mech better on the accurate (personal pref), and I think I like the anodizing better on the accurates, and I think the 4 stock bearings may be of slightly better quality.  So if it would be possible to upgrade the drag washer to a larger one, and replace the Teflon drive shaft bushing with either a longer/stronger bushing, or a quality Antireverse metal spring clutch bearing, and maybe an upgraded spool sleeve?  I think this reel could be a winner too.

In either case...make sure that you intend to and do fish the reel within its rates specs, avoid dropping the reel under load, remember that cranking under heavy pressure is much harder on the reel then having heavy pressure/surges from the fish end, maintain them, and I recomend a pre-use service and regular servicing afterwards, as opposed to waiting til something goes wrong.

Not sure if that helps?

As I said, I have no actual experience fishing or servicing either of these reels myself.

Maybe someone else with more direct experience can chime in?

Hope springs eternal
for the consumate fishermen.

I vote the Fury. I believe the Fury now comes from Accurate with an IAR bearing in it. I'm not sure you can upgrade the Avet with one. The Fury shows to have a slightly higher line take up, the line capacity is the same as is the weight. I suspect the Fury has a higher drag rating.
