penn 545gs

Got back into offshore fishing last year after being  out of the loop for several years and trying to catch up on the new technology. Would the carbon drag washers increase the drag pressure on an older 545gs, if available? Thanks for any info.

The reel comes stock with carbon fiber drags.

I should have added that replacing the small washer under the gear with a carbon fiber one should get you a little more drag.
If the reel has been losing drag over time and/or getting jerky, you probably need to replace all of them.
