Accurate Plate Bearing Replacment

i had a buddy of mine that brought me his reel.  the left side plate bearing on his Accurate Jigmaster was binding a bit, and he wanted it replaced instead of lubed. so i thought i would take a couple of pics and post them.


I would recommend a Reel Speed bearing puller by Aaron and a micrometer.


i used the 3mm fitting



just insert into bearing a twist the handle



easy as abc



taking the measurements of the bearing










I had some bearings in my little tool box, i believe its the same ones for a Penn 113H Senator & the Jigmaster High Speed models.




You can work the bearing back into the bearing housing by pressing it with your fingers.  I really try to avoid using any tools to press it back in.  I especially avoiding applying any pressure on the inner bearing race.
