Hello Everyone,

I am really excited about this site, lots of great information. I have been fishing for most of my life and have always taken a reel in when it needed repair. Until the last couple of years it has not been to bad, we now fish the ocean mostly and I need to do a better job to maintain the reels we have. We use Penn 309 and Shimano Tekota 500 for salmon and Shimano Tyrnos 20 single speed for Tuna. I look forward to learning all the in's and out's of servicing myself. Thanks to everyone in advance.

Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.

The first rule of fishing is to fish where the fish are. The second rule of fishing is to never forget the first rule.

Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.
