Got a great deal on Ebay on a 114 6/0 in really good shape ($30 including shipping), but the right side plate is cracked at the spool bushing. I thought about sending it back, but for what I paid for it I can replace the side plate with a new one and still do OK. I found one on Ebay for a 114h, and I think the only difference is the label - I can use this 114h side plate on this 114 reel, right? The only difference is the gears, right? Are the holes for the bridge screws also in the same place for both reels?

Thanks.

I don't think that will work Sid.
I can't tell you about the bridge spacing, but I'm pretty sure everything is smaller inside the 114, also the 114 has bushings. The 114H uses bearings. Different spool spindles.

Not interchangeable, the black plate 114 6/0 is an orphan by itself. The 114H,HL, H2 in red, maroon, & burgundy are interchangeable with each other. If you look for a plate make sure it is the same. Some plates are accessable to the drags from the outside & others are not. Different hardware is needed on the end of the sleeve for either one.   RUDY

Sid,
Those pictures I posted came from Scott's Bait and Tackle.
Whenever I wonder if a part will interchange, I go there.
Valuable information. I access it regularly.
Schematics, part numbers. Its all there.
Then, you can buy the parts you need.
Great people. ;)

Thanks, Daron. I've bought lots of stuff from them before, just didn't think at the time to go there to look. I will next time!
