For my birthday in October last year my familt got me a set of Grace hollow ground screwdrivers. They have been great for the last 7 months. My favorite one broke a corner off yesterday and they already have a new one coming my way!

Thank you Grace..!!

On another note I'm getting Carpal Tunnel in my right hand. First I thought I sprained my index finger but now it has progressed to my middle finger. The 2 hurt all the time, even at night.

Being in a wheelchair doesn't help either. I have to make a fist, like a Gorilla, to transfer in and out of bed or my truck. Bending those fingers is very painful.

I'm going to take a month off in May. At least try to!

I serviced over 200 reels this year so far. This spring was one of my busiest.

I love the squared & grooved wood grips on the Grace's, Keith.

They fit my hand and give me plenty of grip.

That's also why I like them. Especially the smaller ones. Easy to grip with not so clean hands. The oil and grease is good for the wood.

I have better "kits" with the handle and separate bits but having the full screwdrivers are much faster to use.

I'm only working on small spinners right now to give away to unfortunate kids. I have about 15 with rods to go through and fix up. My hands can't handle all the heavy stuff right now.

I emailed Grace to purchase just the one H2 that broken and got a response 2 hours later from "Dan" that a new one is coming.

For the last couple of years I have been replacing my ageing screwdrivers with Wera and Wiha drivers and bits (including torque drivers). The Wera Kraftform drivers are my favourites, particularly the Lasertips (anti cam out). Whilst the slotted screwdrivers are not hollow ground the slotted bits are. Good German quality.

I like the wiha drivers a lot.  Ive been stocking up on Bondhus drivers here lately.  We use a lot of bondhus and wiha at my work, and Ive been quite happy with both.

All of my separate 1/4 drive bits are Wiha. The Wiha #1 Philips is the only one that holds the screw without using grease on the end.

For anybody working with Asian reels I would recommend looking at the Vessel PH bits. They are a slightly different profile than standard PH bits. They were designed to fit the Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS) version of PH. They will also work fine with standard PH. A standard PH screwdriver will damage a JIS head.

Hopefully the following image show the different profiles:

Thanks, Chris --

Appreciate that tip on the Vessel PH bits.

I will look for an assortment.
