so instead of fishing today I'll spend my lunch hour buying gear and jigs for our upcoming trip

The Huli Cat ran with 20 people today to Pigeon Point. Fishing was slow. We had about 1/2 boat limits and 1 legal ling before heading back north for  crab limits.

Went out on party boat Friday and 20 customers landed 40 legal lings and 200 sea bass in approx. 3 hours of fishing. the biggest lings were just under 30#

Fishing southern Washington coast, and yes, sea bass are a nuisance. (limit 10 per person). Not sure if it is same as white sea bass, cause the skin color is more dark grey, but the meat is flaky white moist and deeelicious !!

Up in the Northwest, Black Rockfish ( seabastes melanopes) are widely called Sea Bass..sure wish they were the White Seabass variety....    Greg
