Rob Ciminieri

Just wanted to say hello to all. I am new here and was told by a member this place was full of knowledge so here i am. I have always done all my reel repairs and this year i am building my reels. I have a couple jigmaster and a few Senator aluminum sideplate reels with Tibouron frames that will be loaded up with stainless guts. The plates are Cortez plates from Tom and i am really excited for my project matching sets!
My other really exciting project is a superwide jigmaster frame that i got from my friend Randy Pauly at Vintage Offshore. That real is going to be a special one. A great reel from an awesome guy.

Welcome aboard Rob!  You are going to meet some of the nicest and most knowledgeable reel guys in the world here, all of them generous about sharing what they know.  What is really unique about alantani.com is the focus on maintaining a friendly environment, where you do not have to worry about getting flamed by the trolls who seem to frequent just about every other fishing website, and on the rare occasion where something unkind is said, it is usually deleted very quickly by one of the moderators.

I can say without qualification that Bob is a true gentleman who does what he says he is going to do, without fail.  He is also a really fun guy to talk with, and he is going to be a great addition to the family.  He's one heck of a fisherman and boat captain too.  You cannot go wrong working with him.

Welcome Rob,
You made it!

There is nothing like lying flat on your back on the deck, alone except for the helmsman aft at the wheel, silence except for the lapping of the sea against the side of the ship. At that time you can be equal to Ulysses and brother to him.

Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.

Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.
