I got a 200 Surfmaster reel.. I decided to rebuild it after tearing it down and finding welded / brazed eccentric jack & badly worn dog...
It had been stored for years.. The grease was dry and hard.. So after getting parts .... (Scott's B&T) / {great guys}  I reassembled it & it's
got really noisy gears.. I took it apart several times thinking I was missing something, but can't find anything.. I've reoiled, cleaned, greased
& done everything I know to do.... Gears don't seem worn out, but maybe more than I can see.. I've drown them it grease (Super Lube)
& a heavier grease, still noisy..

Anyone got any ideas ???
I've brainstormed til I got a headache in my only active brain cell... I really need to keep it for a few more years.. ( HOPING TOO) LOL

Thanks
