Hello from "the worst city in America", Stockton Ca.

I found this site a couple of weeks ago while researching how to fix my Penn Senator 3/0. I have now rebuilt and upgraded it using
Alan's Penn 111 tutorial and info from other tutorials and lots of email support from Alan the last couple of days. Also a box of parts.

I'm gonna post some pics in the pics forum if I can.

Glad I found this site. Everyone on it is a huge wealth of knowledge and very supportive to each other and a bunch of wise crackers :-).
Stand by Alan and everyone els cause I got a bunch more reels LOL

Hi from 30 miles north of what I thought was the worse "city" in the state south of the border, Tulelake, CA.
Hi, my name is Lee and I have a fishing gear problem.

I have all of the answers, yup, no, maybe.

Welcome to he site...the 112H has got to be my favorite size of Penn....I've been commuting from SoCal to Sac every week and have driven through Stockton many times in the last 4 months..staying in Rancho Cordova right now till we can find a place to live up here...would like to vote Brawley as the "worst" city especially during dove season....would like to see pictures when you can....Bill
It may not be very productive,
but it's sure going to be interesting!

Welcome from San Mateo, a good, not a great city.  Dominick
Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.

Aloha Al,

Welcome.  Lived in Stockton for a year then ran out of money.  Yeah, I went to UOP.

I think it's not as bad as when I was living there, and definitely not as bad as when my friends grew up there.  Still, a nice community if you live in the North.

Welcome,
Bryan
:D I talk with every part I send out and each reel I repair so that they perform at the top of their game. :D

i grew up in fresno.  it's alot rougher now than it was then.  almost wound up at uop, but got into pharmacy school in san francisco instead.  saved a ton of money that way.  welcome!

I am now from Fort Bragg, but I spent about 40 years in Fresno/Clovis.  Where did you go to school?

Small world Alan.  I graduated from Clovis High in '58.  Both of my kids in '79 & '80.  My son went to Fresno State from 1980 1984.  Lots of great memories and still have family & friends in the area.  I remember the area east of Clovis when your place was still a farm.  I'm not sure what is there now, but probably houses or one of the many Clovis schools.  Tom
