Issue: soft graphite top bar/brace getting sliced by line.

Current solution: take it off

My take on it: replace with a single metal top bar

Parts: 113hlw fat top bar, 114h 1" side plate screw, 113 hlw side plates screw.

Custom mod: cut about 5/32" (sorry forgot to take accurate measurements) off of top bar; remove some of graphite frame so top bar can move down a little to align.  I think if you use a smaller diameter bar you can fit it no cutting of frame.

Will fish it and report.  Maybe add a second or order hardware to fill the other holes

Aloha

Ps:  Mahalo Alan for da bars.

I like it a lot.

What do you think the odds are that the hole spacing is the same as Newell bars?

what's holding the harness rings in place?  Looks like it needs two screws.
:D I talk with every part I send out and each reel I repair so that they perform at the top of their game. :D
