Need to power up my Lowrance Mark5X pro in my Yak. I'm only out fishing for a few hours at a time.  What did you do?  Any battery installation suggestions appreciated.

Tks in advance.

Do you have a depth finder in your Trident 15? That is where I will probably start. What kind of battery do I need?

Yes, I use a humminbird FF/GPS combo and power it with a 12v, 12a/h rechargeble lead battery. A lithium ion battery is a whole lot better because of its size, weight and recharging life span but they cost an arm and a leg!
The Ocean Kayak Tridents come with a scupper hole that is built to fit a humminbird puck style transducer.

Alot of Li-on battery powered devices that need power for hours and an ample amount (laptops, etc) utilize Li-on 18650 batteries connected in series. Therefore its relatively easy to creat cllusters of 18650 batteries to suit your needs.

For just a few hours, you better off get the deeper fish finder.
