Removing rod/reel clamp posts/bolts - ?

How does one (safely) remove the reel/rod clamp posts?

They are a bit too close together on some of my reels to fit on some of my rods...

ProGears.  and the posts/bolts do not turn easily...

Double nut them to get them out of the frame. If they are corroded, you stand a chance of stripping the hole. That's the first thing I do to an aluminum frame is grease up those holes.

Put 2 nuts on the stud, tighten them together and turn the stud out using the bottom nut.
