Hey Mick this guy is nuts but he did say free shipping.  Dominick
Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.

Yes you have to give him credit, free shipping!!

I don't know where some of these people get their prices from.

Mike.

I have to say that when I say this I thought "Hmm, nice restoration challenge" and the price  :D

Amazingly, it has not yet sold  ;D

Not sure what could be salvaged from that reel -- maybe the brass eccentric?

Everything else would need to be replaced.

This reel would make a good wall hanger if mounted on an old bamboo boat rod with dacron line -- in a seafood restaurant -- or an anchor.

But you never know with eBay...

Is this what they mean by PATINA? ;D

I've just got back from Cornwall and the pub down the road from where I was staying had the 6/0 twin to this 9/0 mounted on a rod of similar vintage hanging from the ceiling. The pub was called 'The Fisherman's Arms' - what else?

Sadly, the reel was mounted back-to-front so there was no fisherman on the staff!
